Now that we're on the same page, check this out:

This was our first time grilling steak.

Well-prepared sliced cow is amazing...

Oh, c'mon - look at it!
It's obviously delicious!

The technique we used: Hot coals. Hot grate. Three minutes per side, then flip. Temperature after two flips = 120 degrees = medium rare.

We question the second flip.

  1. I sauced it with a tablespoon or so of chili/lime/garlic oil heated with butter and fresh herbs. Couldn't hurt, right?

  2. as my cousin David would say.."Wipe its arse and cut off its tail!!!!...thats how rare he likes it...me I have to have it med to well done...mainly medium.
